Chapter 27
With darkness already fallen, the Emperor once again sought Eden out. It had already been a week. Even as he went back and forth between the main palace and the annex several times a day, the smile on the Emperor’s face grew brighter with every passing day. The attendants, who had never imagined the words “generous” and “the Emperor” being used together, had spent the past week saying that he had grown more generous. Because of this, everyone in the imperial palace grew curious about the painter confined to the annex. But the Emperor forbade anyone other than a few attendants and soldiers he had handpicked from setting foot there. Only rumors ran rampant.
