Katherine strode into the second-floor drawing room like a queen entering her court. I gulped and awkwardly rose from my seat. Beside me, Isabella was still speechless from the sight of me. Katherine didn’t even glance in my direction, sweeping across the room to take the seat at the head of the table. With her haughty expression, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
